Every type of interview
Interviews cannot be predicted, so students practise the whole range, not one rehearsed script. They answer out loud; the interviewer follows up, hints when they are stuck, and gives feedback. A transcript is written as they speak.
Admissions tests
Practice papers, marked, with an explanation for each answer.

An entire UCAS department, without hiring one.
Most schools and tutoring firms could never afford to employ a full university-admissions team. Tripos puts one in front of every student: state-of-the-art tools that give feedback, practice and marking at any hour, with staff keeping oversight of all of it.

- A student can practise an interview at 11pm on a Sunday and get detailed feedback straight away.

Data security
Student data is secure by design, not by promise.
Schools are trusting us with children's information. Security decisions are made first and the product is built around them.
Names we cannot read
Student names are encrypted in the browser with a key the school holds. Tripos stores only the encrypted version, so we cannot read them.
No student email addresses
Students sign in with a handle we issue. We do not collect their email addresses.
Voice stays on the device
Speech is turned into text on the student's own device. The audio is never uploaded or stored.
Extra protection for staff
Staff who can see student names must use a second sign-in step. If a staff member leaves, their access to the name key is removed.
Not used to train AI
Student work is not used to train AI models, and the school product has no advertising, analytics or tracking.
The school stays in control
Export or delete a single student's data at any time. At the end of a pilot, everything is deleted if you stop.
Before any pilot with real students, the encryption and sign-in design is reviewed by an independent security specialist. Tripos Ed Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, and every school receives a written data-processing agreement.

About Tripos.
Tripos was started by two Cambridge undergraduates. The student site, tripos.org.uk, opened in June 2026 and has had more than 500 students since.
We are now offering Tripos to schools and tutoring firms, with the staff controls and data protection that institutions need. Tripos Ed Ltd is registered in England and Wales and with the Information Commissioner's Office.
